Ready to unlock a whole new side of ceramics? In this 5-week deep-dive into mold-making, you’ll learn how to build plaster molds from scratch for both slip casting and press molding—two techniques that open up exciting new ways to work with clay.

Guided by experienced ceramic artist Maegan Collins, this hands-on course is perfect for makers with a bit of hand-building experience under their belt, and anyone curious to explore repetition, form-building, and creative possibilities with molds.

You’ll Learn How To:

  • Create one-part molds from your own forms (including "hump" and "slump" molds)
  • Make decorative sprig molds
  • Use both slip-casting and press molding techniques
  • Combine and finish cast forms into cohesive ceramic pieces
  • Glaze using both dipping and spray booth techniques
