In this course, you’ll gain:
- Enhance your wheel-throwing skills, learning how to create larger and more complex forms like pouring vessels, lidded jars, closed forms and teapots with precision.
- Refine your handbuilding techniques, including complex joining techniques, mastering slab work, and coiling techniques, or creating sculptural forms that push creative boundaries.
- Experiment with glazing and surface decoration, to achieve stunning finishes, including slip trailing, sgraffito, and multi-layered glazing for unique finishes.
- Finishing techniques to perfect edges, trim neatly, and smooth edges and bottoms to achieve refined, polished pieces.
- Develop an eye for design and detail, with lessons on proportion, balance, and finishing touches that elevate your work.
With a flexible curriculum and one-on-one mentorship within a group setting from skilled instructors, this course lets you personalize your learning experience. Whether you're refining a specific skill or exploring new ideas, you’ll gain the confidence to tackle more challenging projects and create pottery that’s not only beautiful but also a true reflection of your personal style.
