Location: Lower Level Studio 

Emma Bickers is back this October leading her captivating Building Big Workshop! During this course, students will build and finish a large pot up to 12 inches wide by 24 inches tall, along with test tiles for practicing a variety of glazing/ decorating techniques. This full day workshop will guide you through techniques for creating massive vessels with ease, diving into a variety of hand building techniques as well as intricate glazing techniques.

We will be using red stoneware and glazing for a "once-fire" technique.

Students are encouraged to bring their sketches and ideas to their first class so they can start developing their ideas for their surface. If you don't have sketches, you'll get some guidance in the first class on creating drawings for your second class.

Important Details:

• We'll let you know when your pieces are ready to be picked up. Because these are larger items, they need extra time to dry and will be fired slowly, so please allow a few weeks for this process. We’ll do our best to speed things up, but ceramics do take time.
• Since this is a short course, we can't offer makeup classes. Please check your schedule to make sure you can join us on all the dates and times. 
• All Clay, glazes and firings are included in the price.

Studio Policies:

• All purchases are final and cannot be refunded. 
• We require at least two weeks advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking
• Specialty workshops do not always repeat. If you need to reschedule a course, you may not be able to book onto the same one.
• Please note that the studio does not assume responsibility for cracked or damaged pieces, acknowledging that some imperfections such as cracks are natural occurrences during the ceramic process.
